1. Lagos Island LGA
Lagos island which is popularly known as Isale-Eko is the richest local government area in Nigeria and it is located in the southwestern part of the country.
This local government has a total population of over 200,000 residents and covers the entire Western half of the Lagos state while the entire Eastern half is under the jurisdiction of Eti-Osa.
Lagos Island is linked with the mainland by three bridges that cut across the Lagoon to the district of Ebute Metta, Lagos. Lagos island is also connected to the neighboring island of Ikoyi and VI.

3. Abuja municipal LG, Abuja
The Abuja Municipal is one of the most powerful local governments we have in the country because it is the residential area of King president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Not only does it house the president, but it also houses other prominent politicians like the members of the presidency, the senators, and prominent members of the House of Representatives.
The Abuja municipal local government area is also the headquarters of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the regional headquarters of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

Before the Nigerian capital was moved to Abuja, the Eti-Osa local government area alongside Lagos Island served as the capital of Nigeria where the president resides.
According to the Nigerian last census, the total population of the residents in Eti-Osa is over 280,000 which is approximately 3% of the total population in Lagos State.
The resident of Eti-Osa is predominantly from the Awori tribe which is a Yoruba subgroup. The Awori is a unique blend of different ethnicities from different parts of the country.

Ibeju-Lekki is popular for housing several estates, Gardens with other recreational centres in the state. Ibeju-Lekki is also known as a commercial trade zone that has a 12 MW independent power plant which is still under construction by the China-Africa lake investment Limited.
6. Uyo LG, Akwa Ibom
Uyo is a Local government area in Akwa-Ibom state and also the capital of the state. The city houses Godswill Akpabio Stadium,IBB way, Atiku Abubakar Avenue, Udo Udoma Avenue, and Edet Akpan Avenue.
7. Calabar Municipal LG, Cross River
The Calabar Municipal is another rich local government area we have in Nigeria. It is located in Cross rivers state and is surrounded by beautiful places like the Calabar Tinapa, Obudu cattle ranch, and many more.
8. Bonny Island, Rivers
