Update on Shortlisted Applicants

Having been shortlisted is a good start. Your final opportunity to shine will be during the interview.

There are a variety of ways to conduct an interview: over the phone, via Skype, or in person. When a candidate is selected do the following:

Try to learn as much as you can about the organization.

A clear vision of the agency is also important. You should try to figure out why you want a particular job. Is your personality compatible with the team’s culture and values? Also, make sure to read through your resume before submitting it.

You should also interact with the panel when invited for an interview, it’s not an investigation, it’s a conversation. Bear in mind that as an individual, you are much more than your resume, so you should put it into action. Practice interviewing in front of a mirror or with friends.

Also, be sure to read through the written offer carefully if you are finally employed. Also, keep in mind that all crucial details are included, and ask questions if you don’t understand any of them. As an example, duration, start date, a work profile, and stipend, among other things, are provided.

Send a thank-you note to the employer after accepting the offer.

Please send a follow-up email to confirm your start date and express your excitement about the new position.
